Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CloudLense ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

CloudLense is a cloud cost optimization platform that:

  • Analyzes your cloud infrastructure for cost optimization opportunities
  • Provides recommendations for reducing cloud spending
  • Generates reports on resource usage and potential savings
  • Offers read-only access to your cloud accounts via secure IAM roles and Service Principals

3. Account Registration

To use CloudLense, you must:

  • Create an account with accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Have authority to connect cloud accounts on behalf of your organization
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Cloud Account Access

4.1 Read-Only Access

CloudLense requires read-only access to your cloud accounts to provide cost optimization services. By connecting your cloud accounts, you:

  • Authorize CloudLense to access read-only data from your cloud resources
  • Confirm that you have the legal right to grant such access
  • Understand that CloudLense cannot and will not modify, delete, or create any resources
  • Agree to maintain proper security controls on your cloud accounts

4.2 Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Properly configuring IAM roles, Service Principals, or Service Accounts
  • Following security best practices recommended by your cloud provider
  • Revoking access immediately if you suspect unauthorized activity
  • Keeping your ExternalId and credentials secure

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

6. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that may result in temporary unavailability. We are not liable for any damages resulting from Service interruptions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and all content, features, and functionality are owned by CloudLense and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Use CloudLense trademarks or logos without permission
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or completeness of cost optimization recommendations

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLOUDLENSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any damages resulting from cost optimization recommendations

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CloudLense, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Fail to pay applicable fees

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
